The
3Com Unified Gigabit Wireless PoE Switch 24
is the industry's first truly integrated and
cost-effective Layer 2 Gigabit Power over
Ethernet (PoE) switch that provides centralized
management of both the wired and wireless
network. This unified switch offers the small-to-medium-sized
business market with 20 to 250 users
a one-box solution for the integration
of wired, wireless, PoE and convergence applications. |
| |
|
|
Everything in
One Box
3Com's Unified Switch is purpose built for SMBs
and has all of the functionality in a single
box (Gigabit Switching,
PoE,
Wireless Controller)
that a SMB needs to get an "enterprise-class"
network up-and-running quickly, easily and cost-effectively. |
|
Cost Effective
SMBs only need to buy one box to easily build
and manage their entire wired and wireless network,
as well as fully power up to 24 devices such
as Access Points and VoIP phones without any
incremental investment such as additional hardware
or licensing costs. |
| |
|
|
Voice and Data
SMB Solution
Combined with the 3Com NBX V3000 IP Telephony
platform, delivers a truly integrated secure
converged voice solution to the SMB.
Easy to Use The Unified Switch
provides a 5-click setup wizard that gets a
SMB network up-and-running in minutes, complete
with wireless user access and management.

|
Ready for the
Future
With Gigabit Switching and Full Power over
Ethernet on every port, the 3Com Unified Gigabit
Wireless PoE Switch 24 is an all in one voice
ready network for SMBs that are, or will be,
looking to implement VoIP.
Complete
with: (20) autosensing 10/100/1000
cooper ports and (4) dual-personality Gigabit
port pairs, configurable as 10/100/1000 or

54 Mbps Wireless LAN Outdoor Building-to-Building Bridge
and 11b/g Access Point |
| |
|
|
| The
new 3Com 11a 54 Mbps Wireless LAN Outdoor Building-to-Building
Bridge and 11b/g Access Point allows enterprises of
all sizes and verticals to avoid monthly T1/E1 line
expenses that can total from several hundred to over
US $1,000 per month for little more than 1.5 to 2Mbps
of bandwidth.
This
new outdoor bridge provides point-to-point or point-to-multipoint
bridge functionality while simultaneously providing
802.11b/g access point functionality. This enables
wireless connections for outdoor network access
by individual users. The access point, repeater,
or bridge functionality can be independently configured
on both radios, making the product extremely flexible
for a variety of applications. And because the bridge
uses 5Ghz frequency, there is no interference from
other access points operating in the 2.4Ghz (802.11b/g)
frequency or cordless phones and microwave ovens
that operate using the 2.4Ghz range.

|
| The
bridge function supports data rates up to 108
Mbps between up to 7 buildings or offsite locations.
The access point function provides connectivity
at up to 108 Mbps for as many as 128 users (64
per radio) and interoperates with the 3Com Wireless
8760 Dual-Radio 802.11abg PoE Access Point (3CRWE876075)
to create highly functional customer solutions.
Support for WiFi Multimedia (WMM) delivers quality
of service over the air and ensures that mission-critical
data or VoIP traffic can pass quickly across
the bridge. |

GOES
THE DISTANCE
With access point and bridging functionality on the
same unit, mobile users can link to the network and
the traffic can be backhauled over a wireless point-to-point
or point-to-multipoint bridge link to another unit
attached to the wired network up to 15.5 kilometers
(9.6 miles) away. The unit includes an embedded 17
dBi high-gain antenna; but can also be equipped with
an external panel and omnidirectional antenna for
the bridge and up to two external antennas for the
embedded access point.
DELIVERS
SECURITY
To ensure privacy and protect valuable information,
the new bridge is equipped with a full complement
of enterprise class security features. The bridges
provide the latest WiFi Protected Access 2 (WPA2)
with AES as well as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
wireless encryption, The bridge also supports virtual
private network (VPN) and virtual LANs (VLANs) pass-through.
RUGGEDIZED
The bridge is designed to withstand harsh conditions
with rugged weatherproofing and integrated antenna.
The bridge also includes an internal heater to extend
its operating range. Dynamic Rate Shifting and Clear
Channel Select helps keep network connections available
during inclement weather conditions.
POWER
FLEXIBILITY
To simplify installation where AC power outlets
may not be readily available, Power over Ethernet
(PoE) is supported on the bridge. A custom PoE inserter
and cable are included with the unit to deliver
the higher power required for the embedded heater.
The included power inserter also provides additional
lightning protection, which is critical when mounting
any communications equipment outdoors.
CONVENIENT
INSTALLATION AND MANAGEMENT
Setup wizard software makes installation and configuration
easy. The installation is accomplished via an easy-to-use
web GUI interface. Once setup is complete, the building-to-building
bridge can be remotely managed using a standard
Web browser or SNMP management tool.

Wireless
LAN
and WAN
from the INSIDE - OUT
The
BelAir200 cellular LAN platform is a network-in-box,
mobile networking solution designed to enable the immediate
deployment of profitable public and cost-effective private
WLAN networks by service providers and enterprises.
Designed
for outdoor deployment, the BelAir200 beams signals
into buildings from the outside. It is the first product
to implement the patented BelAir Networks mesh architecture
that, for the first time, integrates wireless access
and backhaul. This architecture simplifies WLAN infrastructures
and eliminates crippling T1 and DSL backhaul costs,
which have so far stifled the deployment of economical,
medium and large public WLAN networks.
The
BelAir200 is built around a high-performance network
processing core, multiple Wi-Fi access and backhaul
modules and an open embedded software environment.
The
processing core provides 100 Mbps, Fast Ethernet wire
speed routing capability per module. The software provides
operator-class, network level operation, administration
and maintenance (OAM) capabilities and a wealth of security,
mobility, management and accounting services.
Combined,
the processing core and software allow network operators
to quickly and easily provide access to applications
and services. |

Product Description
Lightweight, compact, portable 3Com® OfficeConnect® Wireless 54Mbps
11g Travel Router lets you create a private hot spot, sharing high-speed
Internet access for wireless users. With an internal antenna and
convenient carry case, it transports and unpacks easily for instant
access to the Web wherever a broadband Internet connection is available.
Wireless users connect over 11g 54 Mbps connections; a wired user
connects through the 10/100 Ethernet port. Four operation modes
fit different security and communication needs. WPA and WEP encryption
help protect the security of the private hotspot network. In Router
mode, a firewall and virtual private network (VPN) support add another
